So you are enrolled in the summer session of CENG 101 College Learning Strategies and you’re asking yourself, “What next?” Here are a few pieces of information that will help you prepare for the course.
1. Get Your Book: The title of the book for your summer course is “On Course.” It is now available for you at the student bookstore located in the Schoenherr Campus Center. It’s your responsibility to pick up this book prior to camp. If transportation is an issue, the bookstore will be open at 8:00 a.m. the Monday camp starts. You will need to give the bookstore staff your name and the course information (CENG 101 Summer Session) for them to give you the book. Please remember that you will not need to pay for it.
2. Know the Specifics: You will be meeting in room 364 which is located in the Arts and Science Center. This is the same room we will be using for camp. The first week of class will be interwoven with the camp and the class will continue through the following dates: June 27-30, July 6-8, and July 11-14. The class will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day.
3. Be Prepared: You should make sure you have note taking supplies and your iPad for class. Remember to bring your book each day. Also, this class will be condensed so make attendance a priority and be prepared to have daily homework. Remember this is a college class that normally takes 15 weeks to complete. You’re going to finish in less than four!
